Default RE: what do you guys think?

Na I think we are done for the winter, I have to get my car in to get it done by show season, so I am a bit pressed for time. Mike just got the Cobra back and he drives it a bit to put some miles on the new setup but thats about it for now. Austin got his Hatch back his parents paid off his debt on it for Xmas so he is back to driving, although we still havent been able to convince him to buy a new Mustang GT yet but we are working on it, were gonna take him to test drive one and let him figure out for himself why he NEEDS one =D .

I don't think there are any meets planned any time soon, but I know Walker wants to plan a kind of Spring Fling meet. Also I am gonna ask Justin about setting up an even or two at his shop (JPC Racing) but right now he is really busy so I'm waitin for him to get a chance to breathe.

As far as the race, they were heavy cars, so you may have a chance, but it will be close.

i disagree that they were heavy cars - compared to ours anyway lol.

It's mind boggling to me that our cars weigh in at over 200 lbs more than my big 73' Mach 1

I f the GTO is stock or even slightly modded you will beat him easy unless you are a very poor driver. The GTO stock will run low 14's maybe high 13's, you should with your mod's run low 13's. The 64 GTO that runs 12's is not stock.

Watch out, with a good driver that 455 will eat your lunch. This is the problem with small high winding engines and ever growing curb weights, torque is what moves cars and new stangs are light on torque. I wish Ford would quit screwing with the 4.6, make it a base GT engine, and put a strong normally aspirated 5.4 Mach 1 option on the new cars. The new Challenger is going to have a 392 Hemi, which is going to put the bite on the new Boss 302. No substitute for cubic inches, even today.
