Yeah, I second the motion Sherwood- that kid needs a good spanking...;-)

Hey KTownGT, I may be "old", but all my equipment still works just fine thank you, and besides, it feels pretty damn good to now be able to go out and buy an '07 GT for CASH, instead of having to max out about 14 credit cards like most youngsters do nowadays- you dudes will still be paying off your car loans in the 22nd century (that is, if the whole freakin' world hasn't been vaporized by then)
NYAH NYAH !! [sm=signs003.gif]

I think it would be great if someone came up with a gauge pod where the gauges are angled towards the driver. Now that would be bad-***!
Just use the Autometer angle rings. 2234 is the part #. Summit Racing sells them for about 10 bucks

Guess I am the only one that thinks they screw up the lines of the dashboard...

I have over $500 in my gauge set-up You take the pod and some electric gauges and see where you end up--and my boost gauge is vacuum-powered (non-electric=cheaper). Heck, I'm still waiting for the Autometer wide-band A/F (6178) for my Speed-of-sound pod. That is almost $400 by itself.

BTW, I'm 47 and we just had twins...might feel a little older in the mornings, but I'm still hanging in there. But Sherwood, YOU'RE OLD!!!

No denying that gauges are expensive. I have over $400 in my Dynojet Wideband Commander. But lets get realistic. First off, there is not a wideband in that setup. Secondly, those are ( or at least appear to be ) the Carbon Fiber series gauges which only run $50 to $75 a piece at the most.

Also at that site they have:
Just the gauge pod itself for $129 http://www.shelbyautos.com/ShowDetail.asp?id=103
The gauge pod for non-supercharged cars for $399 http://www.shelbyautos.com/ShowDetail.asp?id=14
The one for non-supercharged has oil temp, oil pressure and fuel pressure.

I REALLY like that gauge pod! That'll be an easy $129 from me when it's available! -Joe

Those are Cobalts. Elect water temp (for intercooler temp) was $131, elect fuel pressure was $199, and Mech boost was a cheap $69. That came to $411 from Jegs. Add $90-something for the pod and you get $500 or so. My Speed-of-sound pillar pod is awaiting the Autometer Cobalt A/F gauge that was supposed to be out in June. The engineers are having "technical issues," so it isn't released yet. The other pillar gauge is a Cobalt pyrometer ($160). It really does not have a real purpose other than a place holder. I wish I would have put the A/F gauge (that I do not have) in the certer pod, but do not feel like tearing into the dash again.
