I am approximately 95% complete with installing my Saleen supercharger and upgrade kit and I have a few question. I've been lurking on this board for over a year now and have learned a lot about the Saleen install on this board. As a result of this research my install has been somewhat uneventful (knock on wood). Anyway, my questions are;
1) How do you install the water pump timer. The double sided tape does not stick to the timer, even after I roughed up the surface. Any suggestions?
2) The instructions say that when filling the car and S/C coolant systems, you must pressurize thereservoirswith a coolant pressurization system. Is this step really necessary or can I just fill the systems normally?

By the way, I took a LOT of photographs (Approx. 400) during the installation process if anyone needs these. They are referenced by Instructions Manual page and step number.

It drove me nuts, nothing sticks to the timer!
I had to wrap it all the way around w/ clear packing tape, than the double stick would work.
As far as the coolant pump res. I filled it to the top while the pump was running, took a few laps around the block and refilled.
I checked it a week later and had to add alittle to top it off.
I assume all the air is out of the system now!
Have you driven her yet?
It's a kick in the pants!
I wish I had a dyno around here to check the numbers!

I used velcro tape and it worked fine. You are right - it would not stay stuck with the tape provided.

+1 to the velcro. That is what I used.

As for the pressurization. That is to test for leaks. No, it isn't necessary. But you had better be extremely confident in your install.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like I will go the Velcro route.
I am very comfotable with the plumbing I did on the hoses so I will not perform the pressurization. I used the worm gear clamps and they are very tight.

Vinyl material stuck on to the door. All stripes from the factory are like this.
