2000 cobra s-style wheels for my 07
im looking at some white 18-9 s-style cobras for my 07 gt they have about a half inch less back spacing so they are gonna stick out a little more. has any one installed late model wheels on there new 05-07 stang and if so do they stick out to far to do a 1.5 inch drop. need to know asap please so i can get the stock 17x8 off cant seem to hook up with those dinky 235s on it.

They have a guy with those rims around where I live. Looks good but the do stick our a couple of inches. Looks a little funny from the front. His car is not lowered so I can't say about the rubbing issue.

Wntd doa --- I put cobra r 9" x 17 chrome deep-dish wheels on my 06. (OEM Wheels) Then installed the stock 235/55s tires. Lowered with eibach pro-kits. Looks great, sticks out slightly in rear -- 1/8 to 1/4 inch - fabulous cornering andgives the "don't mess with me" look.

All 5 bolt mustang rims have the same bolt pattern, so they will bolt up, but the offset is different so they will stick out.
I wouldn't do it personally, maybe in the back, but not front.

Do the old style 17x9 rims fit the new stangs? I read there is a diff. I have a set of Mach 1 wheels I will try if they match up.
