vortech/paxton/powerdyne - under $3500
installing on one of them is easy enough to do yourself. the only thing you really have to pull off the motor is your injectors. the rest is mainly brackets and stuff. the power comes on later but it still comes on.

There really is no wrong answer here.
I went with a Vortech, and made 467 RWHP on a mild tune. I thought I might regret not getting a twin screw because of the low end torque they make, but I am very happy. My Vortech is making boost by 2,000 rpm, and the power builds very nicely. For a little extra kick down low, I plan on installing 4:10 gears. The Vortech builds power with a progressive rush that justpinsme right into the seat. For me, it offers the advantage of being able to put the power to the ground a little easier, and honestly when you are going through the gears you are right in the sweet spot of the power curve.
My Vortech was $4,400, and that was for the polished aftercooled kit. Great bang for the buck. Overal I am very happy with the driveability, performance, and quality.
Whatever blower you buy - budget for a new fuel pump system. I just boughtthe FRPP GT500 fuel pumps. They drop right in.

Can only comment on the Procharger (others may be better and better for you). I went with this one because the boost comes in late and I wanted the mustang's around-town driving characteristics to remain same as stock. I also chose it for its upgradeability tosignificantly higherboost levels. My tuner stopped at 480 rwph since engine is stock at present. I daily drive on the 450 rwhp tune.
