Default Can anyone recommend a good front license plate housing?

The front license plate housing/frame that came from the dealership is an abomination. Since it's illegal in CA (as far as I know, anyway) not to display a license plate up-front, can anyone suggest a housing/frame that looks like it cost more than seventy cents and is not going to make me cringe when I look at it? Thanks.

They're kinda spendy, but I use Weathertech's frames. www.weathertech.com They have a rubber seal so road dirt and grime don't get under the plexi-glass cover.

Does that frame in the photo of your car (front end) attach to the bumper moulding without any other kind of housing?

there was also a guy floating around the various forums showing how to make on the clamps on the bumper so no drilling, and you can pull it for shows etc...

I took off my dealer advertising frames and just put the front on with no frame at all. Even bent the bottom of the plate in a bit to give it a sleeker look.

I just refuse to put a front plate on. I live in Texas and your supposed to have two plates, and I know I could be hassled by cops for this, but they never give me a look. I have an 07 black GT with white stripes down the top, hood, and trunk. I never drive slow, butI dont do wild crap on the streets. I laid the front plate on the floor board behind me and sort of shoved it under the seat.

I feel that if asked about the front plate by the police, I can show it to them and make up some story on the spot. But im 52 years old, and look like Howdy Doody so they probobly cant even see me!

I also live in the Republic of California also and and with Warlock I refuse to put a front plate on. It simply ruins the look of the car and if i get pulled over i actually plan on telling the cop that. I did however buy a drill less plate bracket off Ebay and will slip it on long enough to get the ticket signed off and then remove it promptly.

I'm gonna try to weasel my way out of the ticket, but I still refuse to put that stupid plate on, I hat eht e way it looks on the front of the car. It ruins everything.
