In the summer I used waffle weave towels. And if I found any water spots after that I used Meguires Quick Detailer and Microfiber cloths. It was getting to be a pain keeping it clean. I started to slack-off a bit (a lot). Its cold here. But now I found a car wash that washes by hand and only charges $10.00. I've been looking for a hand wash place for a long time and finally found one a mile from my house and cheap too.

the Absorber and air
Speaking of air, I've seen a motorcycle air drier being advertised on Speed channel. I guess the air is clean and warm. That could dry out those places where water collects like in the front bumper seams. Kind of expensive as I remember though.

After washing i mist the car with Poorboys S&W then use the Ca. Water Blade to remove most of the heavy water and follow that with two Waffle Weave Microfiber towels. No streaks no scratches no lint. I also use an air hose from my compressor to blow out all the nooks and crannies that water likes to hide in.
If you do use the CWB make sure and rinse it prior to each use and if it is dropped also rinse it off. A little common sense is all that is needed to prevent and scratches with it's use.

the front grill areais the worst. I use my air compressor to blow the water out of all of the cracks and seams.

I'm a big fan of the "Absorber" too. Have 2 or 3 of them around the house.

I spray with a detail spray... and wipe/buff with a clean microfiber rag. Flawless finish every time. Black is easy if you maintain it.

What are you guys drying your car with? Everything I have tried leaves either lint or water marks. Black cars are impossible.....
