I love mine. Wish I would have gotten the 2200, but didn't feel the risk in pushing it too much on the stock block at the time. The 1200 has been solid for over a year now, and with more and more people's results, kind of wished I had bumped it up or at least got an intercooler with it. Haven't seen any problems, just want more power -

The whine is limited than that of a roots type (intake mounted) s/c. However, you can hear that pretty little whistle when you rev it. After I got my cowl hood, I could hear the whine pretty good. The colder or more air that hits it, the more you hear it. I like it though. It's not annoying at all.... unless you're the guy beside me [8D]

cool, my wife wants hers to make noise, she had to choose between whistle or a loping cam at idle, she went with noise. i was worried it would be quiet. Can you affect the noise with the drive tension, like on a blower???

Well, it is a blower..just a different style. But anyway... yep, sure can. It's belt driven like most.It is also possible tochange out the pulleys & gears- though that voids the manf. warranty on the s/c. I've not done it on this one I'm running now, but have with others in the past. You can get moreboost, andit will also increasethe whine quit a bit.

i see, i run an 8-71 on my car, and we tighten the belt up to make it surge and whine more for a show, then loosen it back after, running them like that it very hard on the crank snout

Ah 8-71 nice. Yeah, a friend of mine used to do thaton his 68 Nova with a 6-71. We started playing with it on these centrifugal styles (paxton/votech). Not the same, but it does work. Theintake mount roots type blowers always seem a little louder to me when it comes to whine, but the centrifugal styles pack a great punch for such a small set up.If you're wife wants the noise, thewhine with the paxton should work out fine. She's going to feel it for sure. And with the right exhaust, you're going to hear it more too.Heck, I'm wanting the cam lop too now Ah one day, I might be able to do cams.

I'm gettting one also from Brenspeed he doing the install with the dyno tune. Are you going to get the delete plates also, some people say there are a must witha s/c and some say there not, so I'm not sure what to do.
