paxton s/c

RE: paxton s/c
I basically had to kill the cam idea if we went with the s/c. The overlap that gives you the good lope kills the power of the s/c. The intake duration overlapping into the exhaust makes a great sound, and can make power also on n/a, but with s/c it can let the charge escape right through the open valve. I kinda go through the same thing on my car, just a little different. so we go for the killer surge sound, juswt as good!!
I have been told both on the charge plates too. I have been told the stocks are fine with s/c and help retain low end torque. I have also been told chargers are a must. I can see both points. I sent an email to brent tonight, so he should respond tomorrow and i'll let you know. I will go with whatever he says, and if he is non-commital i'll get the charge plates to open up the breathing better. I anticipate pulling this engine out this winter anyway and going through the bottom end, and at that time i will need the extra flow. i can also address the low end torque if it has become an issue.
