Default Is $527 to much to wash my car??

I live in an area with really hard water and hate the water marks that are left behind after washing the car. I was thinking of installing a $527 water softener for my entire house with the main purpose to keep my cars spot free.I know thewater in the housewill be better for showers and laundry butI'm really thinking of the cars. Am I nuts?

go for it. you'll get more out of it than just washing your car.

Nix the water softner and go for a large RO/DI unit.

Justa "heads up", avoid washing or rinsing your pen*s, with that new softener. Could be really bad to spend $527, for that to happen. NO spots, but, NO......... ???????[sm=joke.gif] You might be able to "grab her orange", but,she might not be the "grabee of the ****"

If you dry the car with a chammy it doesnt matter how bad the water is.

True that!!! The water really sucks where I live but as long as I get it dried before it dries on it's own It's all good. I've never tried that Mr Clean auto crap, you might want to try that before spendin $527. Plus that's only 30 bucks, that leaves you with a grand total of $497 to spend on mods to make your baby FASTER or LOUDER or COOLER!!!!

You can get an RO/DI unit off ebay for like $75. You can also use it to make Pure water for drinking. You can wash your car using the hose then just pour the RO water over the car using a bucket. Technically, you won't have to dry it cause water spots are caused by minerals(that the RO unit takes out) in the water not the water itself.

My sister in Mn has a water softener. After one shower there - I had to have one.

Never mind water spots - you can't beat a softened shower.

Go for it.
