Default Reckless Drivers

Evening All,
If I may be permitted a brief rant! I have frequently read complaints on this forum about the reckless driving habits drivers of other types of vehicles from clapped out imports to soccer moms in vans/suv's.

I've had my Mustang GT for a little over two months now and am fed up with another group that is hardly ever mentioned here; certain fellow Mustang drivers. The majority of the almost daily incidents that I consider reckless consist of "Stangers" running up too close too fast, tailgating, cutting in front with no signal and not leaving enough clearance to be safe. And tonights last straw: At an intersection to a same direction two lane here in Killeen Tx., I stopped because a number of cars were coming from the left. The driver of the 05-07 GT behind me didn't think it was necessary and cut around on theleft and drove across oncoming traffic into the far left lane forceing two vehicles off of the road and several others to flat spot tiresin the process. Is it any wonder why so manylaw enforcement personnel and other drivers think that all of us are a bunch of careless, noisy, dangerous drivers. Driving a high performance carcarries with it a certain level of responsibility, including not creating a negative attitude towards those of us who want to continue to enjoy the experience. Thanks foryour patience, and I hope all of you alwayshave memorable, in a good way, experiences with your Mustangs. CSM

I happen to be from Asheville, NC, with stops in GA.x 2, AL.x 3, WA., Berlin x 2, VietNam x 3 Panama, and now a transplanted Texan; and proud of it!

Asheville? That explains a lot!!

I was kidding.

Folks around Eastern NC are more respectful drivers than those in Texas.

How can you live in a state that has bumper stickers that proclaim: "Don't Fu*K with Texas" ??

I won't!

But - when y'all come out here, you better drive nice, hear?

Thanks bluestanger.

If you ever find yourself in the Killeen/Ft. Hood area, drop me an e-mail and we'll compare cars. CSM

Right, everyone who owns a mustang should drive the speed limit, never drive recklessly and NEVER, EVER do anything that might be reckless or possibly dangerous.

WTF, is this the Honda Accord Forum?

I'm not saying be an asshat on the road, but spirited driving is why we bought these cars in the first place....
