Default Speed Shifting

I suppose this question could go in some general forums, but I drive an '06 GT so it goes here!

Educate me on speed shifting. Is it the same as "power shifting?" My understanding is that one can shift w/o the clutch in high RPMs and keep his foot on the gas. Is this true. Is it safe? Any tips if I decide to try it?

Thanks

ughhh, I wouldnt do that, lol.

Shifting period without the clutch is not a good idea. Even more so when trying to go fast.
Only if the transmission was built to be shifted without the clutch is it ok.

You can shift without lifting the foot off the gas, but the clutch action is required, and FAST.

I wouldn't recommand learning it on the your 06... go and get a beater and learn on that if you really wanna do it. My opinion says dont do it at all -- the clutch is there for a reason right Arwing (jk). Now speed shifting... well I hope that you are fast -- toss a Hurst in there to help you out.
