Dealer install on Supercharger???
I was reading these forums and thought I saw posts on taking a stock GT to a dealership and having them install a supercharger and keep the whole thing under warranty...
But I went in last night to check tire sizes on the Foose Stallion....and I asked them about a supercharger install. They said no they would never do that.
Am I crazy or should I go ask another Ford dealership in my area?
Thanks in advance
Dave

RE: Dealer install on Supercharger???
well, if your set on having a ford stealership do your supercharger
install, then no you wouldn't be crazy to ask one or two more. if
you then get 3 no's, you may have to consider another route.
good luck and i do hope you get your s/c.

RE: Dealer install on Supercharger???
if you go to a licensed roush performance dealer, they should be able to install it while keeping the warranty. most will not do it because with a supercharger, plenty of things can go wrong. even trying to get them to put on the FRPP whipple will result in a big negative from the service dept.

Honestly I'd prefer to go with a Procharger, but then I might as well flush my warranty down the toilet. I did check the Roush site for a dealer in my area and I will call them and see what they say

Thanks for the info. No, can't make the cruise tomorrow, the boy has basketball games. If you get an idea of the cost, however, shoot me a PM.....
Thanks again,

RE: Dealer install on Supercharger???
First of all, if you have a Roush supercharger installed - Ford doesn't cover the drivetrain - Roush does.
Next - Roush folks told me as long as a certified Ford tech does the install, they'll cover the warranty for the drivetrain.
Considering the cost of the RoushCharger, you can see they've probably built in some cushion for warranty claims. And - they've kept the boost low.
Oh - and if you tamper with the Roush blower - or the tune - good-bye warranty.
