Default Ford rear end gear install???

I am thinking of going with a 4.10 rear...

Will Ford actually install it and keep it under warranty?

Depends on dealership. My local one stated "If Ford sells it, we'll install it".

I am going to get 4.10 gears installed next week by my dealer. The dealer said that they would be under warranty as would the rest of the car if they installed them. That being said I am paying a premium over what I could get them installed for if I went a non-Ford dealership shop to get them installed instead. I just figured that it was worth it to keep the car completely under warranty.

that only applies at THAT dealership. It's up to whatever dealer you go to whether it is covered or not.

I agree. I am taking my car in for a leak from the rack-n-pinion boot. They said that it may not be under warranty cause I have a supercharger on the car. I asked "how would that affect my steering?" These guys are crap....

yeah, ford is introuble, a lot of it having to do with the 6.0 diesel, which has cost them a ton of money in repairs and replacements. Anyway, they are looking for any reason they can to deny warranty. Ford has them taking photos of underhoods and attaching to warranty packages. Any aftermarket stuff, and they are denying the dealer payment on his warranty work. I have a lot of truck for my business, and i deal with them a lot. Luckily, they treat you a little different when you buy a lot. They tried to deny me a warranty fix the other day because i have a Banks system on my personal truck.
