MAC Cat-Back DRONE update!
Not only does my car not drone or rattle anymore, but for some reason it seems faster (probably my imagination) and it sounds even MORE bad-***. You do not understand how happy I am with this system now...it sounds awesome. I was dancing like a school girl the whole ride home from Long Island.
I brought them the car this morning and explained everything to them. They said no problem and pulled out 2 of these suckers....

The installer showed me where he was going to put them and gave me a pat on my back and said "I'll take care of the drone and the rattle."
These mufflers are stainless steel custom made by Kooks and they are about 12 inches long....he put them on the over the axle pipe right after the H. Man...I'm extremely pleased with not having drone yet still having that MUSCLE car note!!
Thanks for all your help people!

I gotta ask.... how much and where did you get them from. I have Mac ab's but I also have Longtube headers and a catted X-pipe that haven't gone on yet. So I might wait to see how they sound. My drone is only bad in 5th at 2 grand
Right are they resonators (which I have seen them look like that) used with the Macs or did they repalce the Macs
ORIGINAL: Virgule
Are thoseresonators, or mufflers?

Glad you got it fixed up, that was a long winding road. You ended up with two sets of mufflers just to make the Macs livable. I had to eat 100 on trying the Macs, they arent worth the headaches, sent those bitches packing to try the FRPP GTA.
xbone, I've posted before how much I love my GTAs, but one additional comment. The sound clips available on the forum for them definitely don't do them justice. I made my decision on what other people were saying (plus the endorsement of Shelby). They sound much better in the real world!
mygt500 - They are resonators (race mufflers) WITH the MACS.
06 Black Beauty - The price for each resonator (race muffler) was $130 from Kooks Custom Headers, they are of high quality and made of 304 stainless steel. Since their shop is in NY I had them do my exhaust installationbecause quite simply - they are one of the best in the country (you get what you pay for).
I paid $307 for my MAC CAT-BACK exhaust via a sale from this forum. Add the $260 for the resonators (race mufflers) and the total is $567. Perfect installation...$700 bucks total. Instead of wasting my money on the Corsas or GTA'sthat sound like a suped up Toyota Supra (my opinion of course)- I have a mean sound, that is throaty, gurggly (even at high speeds) and doesn't have drone - I would have paid more for it. I'm very pleased that my car sounds unique and I will post sound clips ASAP. Thanks!!!
