So basically its just an extra set of mufflers? Why not take off the mufflers now and just leave the res where they are? That might make you sound like a new edge.

Yes, but I don't think the Corsas have that gurgly noise at idle that I love.

understood...bottomline... as long as you like they way it sounds that's all that matters... its your ride!!!
For me and the Corsa's.... I love the deep low rumble they produce on mine.... a bit quite for some people I'd agree... and @ WOT they sound IMO great...
