They are a great deal, and the install only takes about 2hrs at home. Unfortuneately, they are worthless--or potentially harmful--if NOT accompanied by a tune for them of some kind, preferrably a dyno tune.

With a car that is damn near 100% electronic, I would hope 90% of the bolt ons you attain are accompanied with a tune of some sort

If you search around you can find quite a few. I dont remember which forum I saw most of them on.....

Also there was a magazine ariticle that had a dyno. All showed about 10-15 hp gain. However, this isnt for plates alone. all the dynoes I saw were with LTs and CAI also. It does not take a FI application to make them worth while though. I had very noticible gains.

EDIT: let me clearify. I do not mean they gained 10-15 with the CAI, LTs and the plates. I mean the CAI and LTS were already on the car then the plates where added and they got 10-15 additional hp.

that seems like a healthy gain for the price, but before i go and delete something what do those plates do?

I've been thinking about geting these also but none of the local tuners by me will touch a predator. I'm going to have to buy an SCT so I can go to a local tuner. BTW, Summit racing has them for about $11 less with free shipping.
