Interesting the guy who bought the Shelby and the Super Snake, also bought 2 of the 3 most expensive cars ever sold at BJ last year, so hes spent over 11 Million on 4 cars.
His name is Ron "pokerface" cant remember his last name. He must have more money than everyone in the tent!,

Did you guys see where he bid up on himself 500,000 to 600,000 for the shelby? I mean its for charity+ car, but 100,000 dollars is nothing to this man, must be real nice...

i would be incredibly shocked if the cuda went for more than the super snake. im not watching right now so someone fill me in after its sold.
I think the 'Cuda probably will. This '71 HemiCuda 'vert 4-speed is the "Holy Grail" of musclecars... not just Mopar... all of 'em! There is a mysticism that surrounds the only two ever made. It's not like a 427 Cobra, or a '73 Trans Am 455 SD or a '69 Z11 Camaro... which are great cars. These two cars are "it" for a lot of people.

I'll call it now... $5.2 million. Not worth it, but Barrett-Jackson is nothing more than a c**k measuring contest, so someone will up and prove who is larger.

the problem with some of these prices is that they are for charity, so you get insane bidding!
I thought the 2 Firearrows for $1 million each were priced right due to them being concepts. and even that 1969 Boss 429 had a real price. But the $1 million for a Humvee was only because of the charity factor, as was the price on the #001 2007 Shelby GT!

I was there and that same guy that won the bid for 600,000 had the bid at 500,000. He bid against himself just for the sake of the charity and also donated an extra 250K!!! There was entirely too much money in that tent tonight.....

His last name is Pratt. I saw that with the Shelby it was at like 250K then he raised the bid to $500 then again to 600. He also bought that Camaro for $800K and a guiter for $50K. It's gotta be incredible to beable to drop that kind of money and not even crack a smile.

No way the Cuda takes out the SuperSnake. The fact that the car was Carroll's personnal car and that it is the lone survivor makes it almost untouchable. The only thing that has even drawn close the that number was the Futureliner that sold last year. I'm not trying to down play the Cuda's because they are beautiful cars, but that Cobra will remain top dog for quite some time. Twin supercharged 427 Cobra. Damn that must have been scary!!!

I'm not familiar with the Super Snake -- how many did they make? What is special about Carroll's (besides being owned by "the man")? Likewise, I'm not trying to downplay the Super Snake, I just don't know anything about it. I just know more about the 'Cudas.

I watched the Behind The Block show about last years auctions and they showed how they drove the Futureliner to Ron Pratt's warehouse. The place was packed with all kinds of special cars and I think he's going to turn it into a museum.
