Default '07 Aftermarket wheels/tires

OK gents, I need help here. I have selected Bullit anthracite wheels 17x9 front & 18x10 rear for my new '07 GT. I want the tire sidewalls to stick out beyound the fender lip somewhat, say3/8"or so-front& 1/2" or so-rear. I also want the tire dia to be 1" larger for the fronts and about 3" largeror lessfor the rears.
However, the tire selection is very poor for a guy who is a street rodder at heart.......meaning I absolutely will NOT use tires with all those ugly graphics on the sidewalls. I like simple and smooth........like Goodyear Eagle GT II's or BFG TA radials.

I have spent several hours looking for appropriate tires, say 255/55 or 60 - 17 or sofor the front and 285/55 or 60 - 18 for the back. I can find tires for the back but NOT the front. Have looked at all the mfg onTire Rack andDiscount tire, also M. Thompson.

Has anyone out there been able to accomplish what I want to do??????? Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!

This might help,
put in the tire sizes you want and the stock tire sizes, and the graph will show you how far the tire will stick out in MM.
add your rim offset and it will move the center point of the rim...

Calculators:
This is a Microsoft Excel Worksheet the calculates Rear End Gear changes and thereeffects to RPM and Speed. Also there is a calculator that will assist you in selecting the correct Tire size for your car including whatWheel andTires combo will fit.

Download the sheet here. (there are no Macros in this version)
http://home.comcast.net/~swieduwilt01/Mustang_Calculations.xls

you can get an excel viewer that plugs into your browser here:

Fotr the rear to sick out past the fender lip, you need a 18x10 with an offset of +46 or better and put some 305/40 18 on.

Make sure you use the calculator above to check the tire height so that they are close, you do not want a taller tire in the front.
Use Tirerack.com to find tiresin the sizes your looking for.
Most companies make 275-305 in a 40 series 18"tire andfor the front you should look for a 17"235 55 series (stock). would be a good match.

Have done nothing yet!!!!!!!!!
The latest problem is the unavailability of bullit wheels. Many of them are on mfg hold. They said that in would be late summer b/4 they would have them. I get the impression they really do not know and they won't tell me why they are on mfg hold.
I've looked at ALL the other mfg's and cannot find anything I like. It takes a lot of time to wade thru the tons of UGLY wheels out there!!!!!!! And a ton of UGLY tires!!!!!!!!!!
I may just give up and run what's on the car.
