...I'm thinking of getting a Hurst shifter also.

Fixing the rattle is easy and has been discussed many many times already. The search tool is amazing, but all you do is stick a nut on the other end of the screws below the shift boot and tighten them up real good and you're done.

The ball is MUCH more comfortable...also the shifter itslef sits up a bit higher so your not ramming your hand into the ac *****, or center consol. Also i may add, the throw difference is not even comparable to stock....VERY good buy
