What did they do for you gas tank?
I was just wondering for the people who did take their cars in to get the gas tank fixed what did they do for you? They are pretty much telling me there is nothing I can do about this. Everytime I took it in to get looked at, they kept making excuses as to bringing it back and delaying looking at it. Did they replace anybodys gas tank or do I gotta live with this?

Some gas pumps actually pump faster than others. If its pumping too fast it will keep kicking off. Instead of locking the pump all the way try half way, or go to a different gas station.

'05 Screaming Yellow GT here.
Had problems at the beginning. Don't think I ever attempt to let the nozzle hang in the filler. I just hold the handle at somewhere around three o'clock and hold it at pretty fast fill rate. Haven't really had a problem filling in some time, except for the fact I can't do anything but hold the nozzle.
I also always check the "Gallons Used" before I start filling. My car is more often than not full at .5 gallons +/- of the "Gallons Used" indicated. Once in awhile since I INSIST on topping off I get a wee spill and I pull my Meguiar's and cloth and clean it up. Keep some in the trunk all the time.

NOBODY accept algregory above understood his problem... its a problem that affects about half 05-06 mustang owners... It has to do with the fuel filler, it only allows about 2-4 gallons in the gas tank. So the nozzle thinks that the tank is full and will shut off the pump. I have this very SAME problem, and i will address my dealer tommorow about this. It sucks when I only can fill up at 2 stations that are 25 miles apart from each other. It is a real inconvience for me to drive 25 miles one way just to put gas. From what i heard from others, they are supposed to replace your entire gas tank. I will find this out tommorow and I will let you know what my dealer will tell me or any actions taken.

Dude! You can fill up at ANY station! Just turn the handle to the 2 o'clock position and hold it. You can even set the trigger to stay on while you're holding it there.
Personally I don't have that problem too often but it is pretty ridiculous having to hold the nozzle when I fill up.
Would love to find out what steps the dealerships are taking and if they screwed up anything else, especially if they installed a new gas tank.
