If they have it broken loose right now, which they can do easily, go get the car and just don't use the ebrake. Then when parts come in have it replaced. If it is not released yet then ask them nicely to do that for you and then take the car, try another dealer if you prefer. You have several options, but don't get angry with them as there are many people around the nation needed the parts and it is a known shortage.

Find one of the many threads on the topic but I think it has happened on a few 06 or 07s also.

RE: haha ebrake stuck
well howarmat im not mad at them, but rather the whole company in general, i kno its a known shortage, but would it hurt them to make lots more seeing that they have tsbs out for them and have made lots of mustangs. I have to use the ebrake because im parked in a driveway that leans up and im not gonna have my transmission support my car on the hill. yea i still get your point, the service rep was cool and he's even going to call me when its in, but for me, once i parked it with the ebrake, i wont expect it unfreeze so it'll be sitting in my driveway til the part becomes available, thats why i was saying that i was upset at the ford company and not the dealership. For many of us, its our only driver and im only 19 so i have no chance at renting a car, and this is my everyday driver. Now i gotta hear it from my mom about why I didnt get an suv like her; and yea guess what im driving now: her suv lol, at least she commutes to ny everyday and only uses it on the weekend, I just really didnt plan to put 30 miles on it a day til i get the parts. yet i wonder how long they'll take

well i got her out this morning by reversing thru my block a several times, probably scared this friend of mine by makin her think wth i was doin lol, but yea, i drop her off at the body shop to get some work done, and i'll have it back on friday and the best part is that it'll be parked on flat surface so no ebrake til friday lol hopefully the ford service man will call friday lol
