Default 3.73 or 4.10

2006 mustang automatic 4.0L. CAI and xcal2.I am leaning towards 3.73. Anyone want to agree or convince me to go with 4.10 instead? Would 4.10 be too jerky?

I've heard some people say that they barley noticed any differnce with 3.73's....even with the auto...

Persoanlly I would go with 4.10's and if thats to much go with 3.90's...

3.90's are only available for the 8.8" rear-end used in the GT's. That ratio isn't sold for the 7.5" rear-end for the V6's.

I went with 3.73's based on a lot of feedback and searching on the forum. Don't think you could go wrong with either 3.73 or 4.10 but the 3.73 was just right for me with the type of driving I do. Good luck!

I went with the 4.10's in my auto GT. I love them, but I do have 20" wheels which makes my effective gear ratio 3.90.

4.10s are well worth the extra 1mpg drop on the highway over 3.73s

I don't own the 4.0L, but I have read that a 4.10 in a 7.5" rear end isn't a good combo because of the lack of strength of the 7.5". I think most go with the 3.73s because of this. Otherwise 4.10s are fine for daily driving.
