Its not so much the power that wrecks the engine, but its all in the tune. As long as you get it tuned right you should be fine (still wouldnt recommend going much over 450rwhp, though).

its not the boost that kills the motor, he can run about 9 psi intercooled with a damn good tune and be fine for 100k, you could run 7 psi intercooled with a lean tune, get it to cause detontation, which will kill the motor, and it could last 5k up until the point of 450 HP

Saleen does NOT have a written warranty! They will "work" with you if have one of their certified installers install it. This is fromthe Saleen factory customer service rep.in response to my inquiry. This sounded pretty weak to me so, the ONLY S/C thatI have found that hasa written warranty is Roush.

In the next couple of weeks Roush is upgrading their s/c to 450+ HP with a different tune and smaller pulley. It will still have the 36/3 warranty.

It will cover engine damage to $5000 and tranny, differential to $1500.

Whipples are engineered for Ford, they dont hurt the warranty if a Ford dealer installs it, which is BS because theres alot of crappy Ford techs out there who i wouldnt trust to change my oil.

I would say the SuperCharger will totally VOID your drive-train warranty ... and anything else the dealer can blame on the extra power. Let says your Power Window motor goes ... that is still going to be under warranty. But if you blow a rear end or break a driveshaft or blow a head gasket there is no way the dealer will cover it under warranty. They could also probably stretch out other issues. Lets say the hinge on your driver seat breaks ... they could say the excess acceleration and G's put undo stress on your seat hinges so they broke ....
