Well it appears theres a consensus here... Since all of these things have this "adaptive learning" is it further True that disconnecting the battery for a certain length of time will do the same as taking it to Ford and having them reflash the PCM??? Also what other concerns if any should be consiered when periodically disconnecting the battery??

See above. And the only thing you will have problems with when pulling the battery is reseting your radio stations.

I saw your post just as soon as I posted the question... (We placed both are posts at just about the same time..) Anyhow, so how long should you disconnect the battery for and do you pull both connections or just the positve? Also, are you 100% sure no other codes will get knocked out of line by perpetually doing this? Im just concerned that the all the computer codes come back correctly without malfunction....

Yeah, lol I saw... Ive pulled my battery a few times, for various reasons, and never had any problems besides losing my radio presets. Just disconnect both for a minute or two... hell go 5 minutes just to be safe. Its not like ya gotta stand ther and watch it or anything, just pop the hood, disconnect em, walk inside and get a drink, come back and reconnect.

So now that I know how to do this, to answer "Stangster's" question...
why would reflashing the PCM (I assume with the stock tune) make any difference?
Basically what would reseting the adaptive learning have to do with increasing performance? I would think this adaptive learning technology should be a good thing so whats the deal with that?

Because it learns the way you drive, and obviously, you dont drive ***** out every second, so it detunes your car a little, and decreases the timing, A/F ratio etc which decreases the power thats put out, so by erasing the "learned data" you havent really gotten any more hp, just reclaimed what the computer took from you with its "adaptive learning".
