LT's and inspection in Texas
I am thinking that at some point, it'd like to do long tube headers and a catted H-pipe.My only question iswith that setup would the car pass inspection in Texas? I want to keep the car legal and not have to worry each time inspection comes around each year.
For long-term, i'm either doing a saleen supercharger or heads/cam but not until i upgrade the tranny so as not to kill it.

RE: LT's and inspection in Texas
Longtubes are illegal in EVERY STATE. It is a FEDERAL LAW that says you cannot move, replace, or delete the cats.
Practically speaking, it is a different story. In Texas most counties do not have tailpipe smog tests. Therefore in most counties you will pass an inspection with no problem.
However, if you live in one of those counties that does a tailpipe test, then you will fail it if you are not running cats. These are typically the counties in big cities. So in this case make sure you have cats or drive to a different county for inspection.
