BMR Carbon Fiber One-Piece Driveshaft 2005+ Mustang. BMR carbon fiber driveshafts provide a variety of benefits for your '05 Mustang. The overcomplicated factory two-piece shaft weighs an unbelievable 42.3 lbs. as compared to our 20.7lb. one-piece carbon fiber replacement. This rotational weight reduction alone is responsible for gains of 15+ rear wheel horsepower. Additionally the benefits of carbon fiber can be felt and heard in reduced driveline harmonics and vibration. Carbon fiber absorbs these harmonics much more efficiently without the long term fatique associated with steel or aluminum. The factory driveshaft is rated at an estimated 450-500rwhp while we rate our carbon fiber shaft up to 1000+ rwhp.

Ludicrous? Well, do the comparison. Do you actually read the description? If you want the best, you pay for it.

Sounds like you can't have one, or just don't want to pay for it, so it's Ludicrous! Whatever.....[8D]

For that price youd think BMR would give you a flange adapter so you don't have to mess with pinion setup. To do it right you have to redo the rear. Or you could just guess on the preload & hope for the best. I like the flange adapter cause I don't want to mess up my quiet rear. Denny's & some others give you an adapter for $550 plus the 4" BMR shaft had known clearance issues 3" shaft should not rub. JMHO

Whatever you want to tell yourself. I think your crazy paying that for a driveshaft. We've taken this carbon fiber crap way to far IMO.

Ask BMR if they will replace that carbon fiber contraption for freeif it does shatter?
