Well, ideally, it would all be done at the same time. That way the alignment techs can set your pinion angle while your car is in their shop. Also, replacing the rear-end parts (LCAs, Panhard, etc.) will be cheaper to do all at once rather than have to go back to the shop multiple times. If you do that you'll be paying for a lot of duplicate labor.

But failing that, here is what I would do:

Right now go take a look and see if you need the panhard bar or not. I am 95% sure you will, but every once in a while this isn't needed. This isn't super important, but it's good to know what you are facing, and finding this out won't cost you a cent.

1) The most critical thing is the front-end alignment. That requires camber bolts (Assuming they aren't already on your car). This is a safety issue and it also affects your tire wear significantly, so I would make this your #1 priority. If you can't afford to do everything at once and you have to stage it out, this is what you need to do first!

2) With the alignment straightend out, your pinion angle is the nextconcern. This requires adjustable LCAs. Don't forget to have them adjusted to the correct setting.

3) LCA relocation brackets.

4) Panhard (this is mostly a cosmetic thing)

You need either adjustable upper or lower control arms to change your pinion angle. To check it you'll need an angle finder. If you can't afford a $100 digital one then I recommend this brand from homedepot.

I had a different one that didn't work nearly as good. you'll need to measure the angle on the pinion flange and on the back half of the driveshaft. Take the difference between these two angles, say one is 5 and the other is 3, your pinion angle would be negative 2 degrees. You need to measure these angles with the full weight of the car on the rear end, meaning you need jack stands under the axle tubes or have the tires sitting on a lift or ramps.

Question for you CrazyAl, how do I check and make sure pinion is correct or is this something done when it is aligned?

Mooses's comments on adjustment are great. If you want the long version, see this post:

That depends on what you mean by important:

Important for reliability or safety? Not important at all.

Important for performance? Yes, definatley. If your car is lowered or if you drag race (and especially if you do both)this is one of the best mods out there.

should i just let them get the camber bolts or would it be cheaper for me to go somewhere and get them.....same thing with the adjustable LCA's and LCA relocation brackets...should i order them from brenspeed or somewhere online or find some at a local shop?
Most alignment shops should have the camber bolts in stock. If they have 'em I don't see any reason not to use them. (you might call first and ask). If they don't have them, then you'll probably have to order them online.

I seriously doubt a local shop will have the other parts you need. I suggest one of the online vendors like LMP Performance, Lethal Performance, or direct from BMR. Brenspeed is great but they don't carry much suspension stuff so I don't know if they will have what you need.

Hey Al thanks for helping me out....i've been searching around ....at lethal performance they have two different adjustable lower control arms....one is the "race' version with rod ends"....the other is a "street' control arms combo" they both run at $259 and the bolt-in relocation bracket is 134 ....would you suggest getting the "street" version?

Yes, definatley get the "street" version. The race ones transmit a lot of road noise--they are not practical for the street.

ok good deal....i just ordered the BMR adjustable LCA's and BMR relocation brackets.....im waiting for them to come in a few days....then i will head up to the shop and get someone to put them on and check the front-end alignment...i checked out the wheels and it doesnt seem that either of them is sticking out much more than the other.....and since you said that its kind of a cosmetic thing i will probably hold off on that for now.... do you think the traction increase will be dramatic?

With the LCAs and the relocation brackets your traction increase will indeed be dramatic!

The panhard bar will improve your handling a bit, but it's more of a stability-in-curves factor, not traction.
