Hey TPony,
I see you have the '07 cover on your '06.
My parts guy gave me a packet of long and short
double threaded studs, Any tips before I get started ??

hey blueoval. i just put that 07 cover on my o6. nuttin to it. just get the 2 studs for the very front of the cover. the studs come with 2 nuts built in them. and then get 2 extra nuts. you just remove the 2 front bolts and replace them with the 2 studs. then in the back on both sides you just unplug the plastic wire loom holders off the back studs.you might have to pull with a little force but they come off. then install the plenum cover into the front studs first and then align the 2 back studs on each side and slip it down. puush the wire loom plugs back on to hold the back down and install the 2 extra nuts you bought, inthe front 2 studs and your done. pretty easy. if you go to the dealer and look at an 07 its self explanatory. good luck.

Sorry, did not see your post sooner, but ZZ just hit in the head. Bottomline is the stock 06 studs (front ones) that came w/from factory are too short, that's why you need the longer ones. Lets us know if you need any help.

I just installed the cover on my '05 with little or no trouble at all... I went to my dealer looking for the required parts I thought it needed and he was clueles... All I did was bore out the Washer/Spacer to the proper size and install... Got compliments gallor at the last meeting...
