Default Let my mom drive my Stang today...

This was one of the most unnerving things I've done in a LONG time.

My mom is tailgating everyone, and when we pull up to a light, she nearly rearends the car in front of us because she pops the clutch and the guy didn't JUMP off the line in his little Rav4. Then, she's driving down the street fixing the rearview mirror, and a car's pulling out in front of us, and I'm going, "Mom, there's a car pulling out...Mom...car...MOM!"

Then, we go around a turn, and as soon as we hit the straights in a 35 mph zone, she punches it up to 50, and says, "Gee...I should probably slow down. I'm doing 50 mph!"

I tell my dad, and he says, "I'm surprised that she never got a speeding ticket when we owned the '84 Corvette."

I don't think I'll ever let her drive my car again, because she scared the hell out of me...

My mom is petrified to even get close to my car, so the cockpit is not even an option.

My mom loves my car. Driven it a number of times. If you were to ask her its the greatest most beautiful car ever constructed.

Well, her attitude is, "Well, look...We've owned 2 other Mustangs before, and I didn't have any problems with those..."

"Yes you did, Ma...Dad told me all about how when you were pregnant with me that you let the '67 roll backwards into a ditch, AND how you got stopped by a cop for running a red light in it."

Of course, all of this was said after I told her she scared me pretty badly while driving it today.

My mother had to take my pony to get a tire repaired while I took her car to class. She got their okay, but the workers managed to ram another customer's minivan into my stang. I was pissed.. but I got new bumpers and exhaust out of their insurance.

I should let my mom wreck my car more often!

Your a braver man then me! My mother will never get in the drivers seat in mine. One time she was going to the store, begged to drive the Mustang, and I refused. So she took her car and when she was backing out of the driveway, she hit the column! She left long white paint all down the drivers side of the car.

Well, if it comes down to someone in my family having to drive my car, it'll be my dad. He can at least baby the car, and understands the stopping distance for the car. My mom, however, hasn't driven a manual transmission vehicle in probably 3 years, which accounts for a lot of my nervousness.
