Default RE: traction question

ORIGINAL: Kaldar142

on a scale of 1-10, how much does a bmr UCA / bracket help launch? and is it worth it? what are some other worthwhile suspension mods to help imrpove launch?

do the tockico shocks help alot?
For helping you LAUNCH:

UCA: 2
LCA relocation brackets: 4-5 normally but on a lowered car 10. If your car is lowered and you want good launches this is a MUST DO.

The shocks are more of a handling improvement in the curves, but if you set your front shocks softer than your rears you will see better traction at launch. I'd say a 4-5 or so.

LCA relocation brackets are a must! get that backend back in alignment, and you will hookup.

do sway bars help at all during launch or is that just purely a handling mod?

That wheel and tire combination would look killer.... But you need to take carefull measurements or you might end up with the tires sticking out from the fender and that just looks stupid. Check to see what the offset is on those 18x10's. My guess is that you would need 50+ offset or more to fit a tire that wide underneath the car without it sticking out from the car. -Andrew
