Default Fixing Rev Hang

Ok, I did the search, and found nothing that helped me out. I can't stand the hanging revs. I read a few posts that said a tune and CAI would fix this, well I installed both last night and it still hangs. What can I do, if anything to get the revs to drop immediatly? Is there a trick I missed in the tune? Help me before I go insane. [X(]

That is the way the cars are designed now a days. I had a 02 Mustang V6 before that did the same thing. It's designed to burn all the excess fuel and gasses in the intake. When it is all at a certain level, then the speed of the engine slows. Thanks to the EPA to reduce emissions, this is what they came up with.

Get it dyno tuned and that will get rid of most of it! Or whoever you got the canned tune from should mod the program to handle this!

You will never fully get rid of it even with a dyno tune, a good tune will eliminate some but not all of it.

in addition tomaximizingfuel burn (which is actually a pretty minor effect since the injectors can precisely control the fuel charge) the rev hang also prevents a buildup of oxygen atoms on the heavy metals inside of the catalytic converters...for the same purpose of reducing emissions.

Even with a tune - get used to it.

Sucks.
