CAI & Tune is a big spend ticket item, but definately worth it and has a wow effect. Paint or powder coat the valve covers, get a plenum cover, braided hoses, and some billet dress up items. Oh yeah, and hood struts. I've done all of this and will be glad to share pics, though you can find plenty on the site already.

Now I would have to agree though, that just getting a CAI for just looks is going to be expensive, especially if your just looking for show and No go. California Mustang has a lot of Dress up parts including a few covers for your Stock Air box

NowI like show and go , so I have been slowly dressing up my engine bay as well. I got the Granatelli CAI in Satin, It had some imperfection in it with some minor scratches, but fixed that right up with some paint, and replaced the boring filter with a better functioning Show one.I also started some stainless lines, steeda fuse box cover and did some custom paint work toSteeda's newengine plenum cover. hoping to finish itall up this spring.

Where did you get the Stainless Braided Hoses in those pictures (The windveil blue car) PM me if you must or just post there, that is the best dress up item I've seen so far.

And probably pretty Inexspensive. If you read this and post a reply can ya tell us which hoses you did replace with the Braided lines

doesnt it bother you about all that rust on the strut towers. I use one of those brillo pads but w/o the soap to clean it, its annoying..

QuickS, I like the replacement filter you installed on the Granatelli CAI. I also have the GranatelliCAI and would love to get hold of a filter like yours. If you don't mind sharing the info, where can I find that filter? Thanks!!

Here are a few ideas. I started with the aesthetics and then teh power mod bug hit me. Once I'm done with the power mods I'll pick back up on the aesthetics. I like the things partscheap.com is offering. UPR has a bunch of stuff too.

Fantastic mustang you have there! So far, I have added to my 06 GT polished aluminum 18" wheels, 255/45/18 BFG KDW's and Granatelli chrome CAI. I will be taking it for dyno and retune sometime over the next few weeks. Eventually, I will add a blower, just doing the research now considering the amount of money that will take. And, trying to convince my wife that even with all the mods, this is still cheaper than buying a corvette!!

Its called the "Power Adder", by Spectrum Performance. Its a stainless steel mesh filter, so it needs no oil, as a non-oiled filter is suggested by GMS,because the GMS re-calibrated MAF sensor is so sensitive, that evena trace of oil can fowl it up. The only thing with the Power Adder filter is because its non-oiled mesh screening, it needs to be clean a little more often, but with that said, it dries in like10 minutes as well, and it alsoshould not be used if you live in sandy or dusty area ( beach or dirt roads) you can get this filter at Auto Zone andPep Boys[sm=smiley20.gif]

Oh and yeah, the other thingI like about the filter is it is a tad smaller then the GMS filter making for a better fit, no rubbing against the brake lines
