I would like to update the dash pad in my 06 to the covered 07 dash pad. Does anyone have a part number on this pad or know where to get one?

out of curiosity, what does the dash pad do, protect from sun damage

 

I added a carpet dash pad and really like it. It doesn't fit real tight around the defrost vents but it fits the dash perfectly.

I haven't seen the 07 covered dash pad on any out there yet except the shelby's all three shelby's I've been around had the soft dash. I know it was a factory option, like a convenience group or something. You may be able to get it from the dealer only, but I'm not sure if it is a cover or a whole new dash pad. If it is a whole new unit, that may be a PIA to try to replace.
