I was kinda thinking the same thing. I have 20s with a cold air intake/tune and 4.10. I was also wondering if it would be better to put the stockers on over the 20s (20s more contact but hevier)

I know 20's are heavier and saw in one of the mags that due to more rotating mass, you lose 10rwhp from it. I would definitley have some 17's for the track, both front and rear, the rear having some type of drag radial.

13.3 at 106 with a 2.3 short time and a stereo in the trunk. I'd easily hit high 12s without the dead weight and with a halfway-decently prepped track.

Edit: Depending on the wheels, going from stock 17s and stock rubber to 20s (assuming 20x10 with 275 rubber), you will lose about 10rwhp (lightweight racing wheels) to 30rwhp (big chrome spinners). You can expect to lose 15-20 on average due to increased mass, increased diameter, and increased width.

I made 13.6 with2.3 60ft.too without the CAI , CMCP and tune. By the second week of March I will be installing th Dennys DS, Adj. LCA, Relocation Bracket and tune up. I will hit the track as soon as I install this but I just wanted to know what's the fastest a Mustang with 20" rims did in the 1/4 mile.

BTW I did 13.6 two weeks after learning how to drive a stick.

More mass, plus larger diameter, plus wider = higher moment of inertia...which is the definition of SPRUNG weight. Add on top of that the unsprung weight effect of simply weighing more, which affects acceleration but not rwhp. The front wheels are simply unsprung weight.
