Default Please help diagnose problem

Ok, my car has been sitting for a couple days in relatively cold weather (It's been in worse.) I parked it the other day, and turned the wheels all the way to the left. Anyways, I get in it today and the brake pedal will not move. The steering wheel will not move, and when I put the key in the ignition...it won't move either...it stays locked. What could this be? The key fob unlocks the car..... My thought just now was that perhaps the chip in the key went bad?

What could it be? Would it be something covered by Ford? Thanks

I have no idea what the deal is with the brakes. There shouldn't be anything holding them back. Otherwise, your steering wheel lock may be sticking. Wiggle the wheel left and right with a little force as you try to turn the key. This is typically something that happens on older vehicle's but I guess it could be temperature related. Again, to my understanding there is nothing related to the lock cylinder or the steering wheel will affect your brake pedal. They may just be pumped up, I wouldn't worry about the brakes until after you start the engine.

Ya sounds like you just have to turn the wheel. It happens to mine too. I don't know about the brake peddle. If it was a key code it would turn but not start the car.

if your wheels are turned to the right, pull the steering wheel to the right to relieve the pressure offof the linkage to the lock .the key should turn easily
