anyone have these? i think i can get my hands on some mad cheap. i have no desire to put long tubes on this car because i dont want them draging all over. i know on my old car (04gt) shorties were worthless buti have heard they work well on the sn197.

 

minimal power gains, if any, with shorties on our GTs.........
complete waste of money if you ask me! money better spenttowards a CAI w/tune (if you dont already have it)

 

thats kind of what i thought. i think i could get them for $200, i am selling off all my used parts for the old stang so i have some cash to work with. cai, tune and x are going on anyway.

 

200?, are they used or new?. You should get 5-8 HP

 

I put JBA Shorties stainless steel and a FRPP X-Pipe on at the same time, sorry I didn't get a chance to check any power increase via dyno. But I can tell you the engine breathes a LOT better with this setup I felt it the second I pulled out of the station. Intant throttle response.

 

i have JBA shorty's on mine but never got dyno'd until I had everything else on there... the stang does breath better but I hear that they work mostly on the top end... not sure what they added to my stang as I have a bunch of other bolt on's

 

Shorties are really not worth the money because they just don't improve performance that much over the stock manifolds. Save your money for some know performance gainers.
