ANNOYING CREEK FROM SHIFTER AREA?

Default ANNOYING CREEK FROM SHIFTER AREA?

I have developed an irritating creek type noise, I think it is from the shifter area?? Very hard to isolate! drives me n uts!!!! Has anyone else had or have this, any ideas would be great!! Sometimes I think it could be radio area or above???
Could it be the shifter or boot??
HELP!

Mine does it when in 5th the shiftboot leather fubs together. I use leather treatment and it goes away

Yeah, the leather is cold, and rubbing against itself.

I've tried leather conditioner does not help, I hope it goes away when it warms up?? I think it does it cruising in 3rd 4th

my thumb release button on the parking brake rattles. maybe that's what you're hearing?

My seat belt latch rubs on the side of my seat.....it squeeks like a baby bird that hasnt been fed in over a week!

I had the same problem as soon as I got my '07 GT manual. Anyway, all I did was twist the shifter ball slightly clockwise and the vibration noise disappeared. Of course, now I have other noises that pipe up occasionally; like the passenger door area, or maybe it's the seat.......Who knows. One day it's there, one day not.

Thanks I will try that tomorrow.....Iknow there are lots of noises on these cars, cheap materials I guess?
