okay my car is reving up to about 3000 RPM'S when i turn it on without my foot on the gas when it hasn't been on for a good 5+ hours. i wake in the morning turn it on and it does it then i have to rev it up by pressing the gas for it to stop and i usually have to rev it2-3 times before it stops..

DOES ANYONE NO WHAT IS GOING ON??? thanks in advance chris

Take it back and have them look into it

the car will idle higher upon startup; but 3000 rpm is extreme. have the shop take a look at it

My car spikes to about 2k when started, and slowly idles down to 900 or so. It's done this since the day I got it. 3k seems a bit high, but I think the behavior in general is OK.

3k is high, take it back to the shop and I think there might be a throttle body TSB also or something like it maybe.

it's probably your iac or your throttle body/tbcable sticking

we dont have TB cables...but i think it can stick open and cause problems though.
