Same here ...I love the mirrors painted as they give it an upgraded look to go with the look of the rest of the car. I think they should have painted them from the factory regardless of model as they look less cheap and blend better. I would use a good custom shop that quote "paints for show" and had turned out many show cars in the past with picture to prove it. You usually get what you pay for if it is a reputable place and prices will vary but since it is easy to paint the mirrors it should not be terribly high. I painted mine and do not regret it! There are other mirrors that look like the retro type that was just screwed into the door of the car in the past-I think "bullet type" comes to mind but I thought they were to small for the car and really didn't look right to me. But that is personal preference and up to you to decide!. Later J

I never thought their shape was bad! I love having huge side mirrors.
Of course, they need to be painted body color, bend back or forward and maybe angle downward when you are parallel parking... but that would cost too much for a Mustang.
Oh, also don't forget the turn signals in there, and the little lights that light up the ground!

I completely agree that the stock mirrors are hideous, I switched to Agent 47's mirrors

Try the mirror covers, painted to match your stang's color. Put them on mine and made a big difference. I think you will be happy with that simple solution.

I was at the ford dealer checking out mustangs and I have to say that I think that the side mirrors are ***-nasty. They look kinda like a cheap afterthought in comparison to the beautiful styling around the rest of the car. What do you guys think. Are there any after market side mirrors, something a bit cooler. I haven't really looked around or anything, and this certainly isn't a deal breaker for me. I plan on getting one sometime early this summer hopefully, if my business continues on it's current path.
I tell ya what looks cheap is the black trim below the side windows. When they get wet, it leaves water spots! I use Mother's Trim on them but even then the product runs down your car's paint in a rain storm.

Do you guys think it would be possible to remove the black trim and paint it?

I'm still waiting on the street scene mirrors. Agent 47 makes different mirrors too but they are complete ripoffs.

I have the mirror covers. this is a simple fix till I get around to having some other paint work done, then I will have the mirrors sanded and painted.

^^ Which covers are those? I haven't seen those before. I have only seen the 'half' cover ones, and I don't like those at all.
