Default side mirrors

I was at the ford dealer checking out mustangs and I have to say that I think that the side mirrors are ***-nasty. They look kinda like a cheap afterthought in comparison to the beautiful styling around the rest of the car. What do you guys think. Are there any after market side mirrors, something a bit cooler. I haven't really looked around or anything, and this certainly isn't a deal breaker for me. I plan on getting one sometime early this summer hopefully, if my business continues on it's current path.

I think they look great on my car. And, actually, they're really good when you use them driving. They're large and have good coverage. JMO

I saw some mirror covers on ebay. They are a bit smoother than the plastic finish of the OEM mirrors. But I would to see them installed/painted.

The mirror inserts make them look a little better, and give a smaller visual effect I think

My girlfriend got me the mirror covers. I really like them...makes me think my car looks unique. If you really want the complete package then you've got to paint the whole thing...I wasn't that hardcore hehe.

The stock mirrors do look unfinished, in all of their black plasticy-ness. I personally plan to have mine painted like justin said. It really makes them alot more acceptable and modern. There are a few replacements out there but I cant remember who makes them atm, sorry[&:]. There was a post not too long ago about someone who just had some installed. Mirror covers are ok if thats what you like, but it just seems like a "quicky" solution, instead of having them painted... JMO though.

Yeah they're good when driving, but if you're in a city with alot of parallel parking they are a PITA. The only way to tell how close you are to the curb is to angle the passenger side mirror all the way in and all the way down.
