Boyd Coddington Wheels

RE: Boyd Coddington Wheels
I'm no Coddington fan or defender; but come on? You're hitting the guy because you don't like his ex-wife or his attitude? The guy has made a bigger contribution to the world of wheels than mostly everyone on these forums [including me].
And yeah, Foose is cool.

Yeah Foose! I live down the street from Boyds shop and from what I hear him and his wife are having health problems right now. I don't like Boyd because he was cought for VIN fraud. Thats not cool.

RE: Boyd Coddington Wheels
hey nothing wrong with a little vin fraud if your doing it to obtain a title for a super old car. sometimes you gotta lean over to the grey area to save classic american steel.
now if he was doing it to screw someone, thats entirely different

I disagree. I don't watch the show anymore because of his attitude, but to say that we don't contribute to the world of cars isn't true. I found that through years of the car show curcuit you'll never find a better class of people than the musclecar owners. And antique car owners too. We'll talk to strangers forever discussing motors/mods etc. trying to help each other out. The snotty guys are the street rod owners. Man you'll never see a bunch of stuck up guys as these. Tell them nice car and you'll get a half nod. Ask what's in the motor and they walk away. Don't believe me? Your next car show try itout.Well, sorry to get off on a rant. I don't think Boyd would help anyone unless big money wasabout to gointo his pocket.

RE: Boyd Coddington Wheels
A friend of mine bought a set of Coddington wheels a few years ago and they are nice wheels. He paid a lot of money for them though...I think it was $1700, but I'm not sure.
But I agree with the rest of you. I can't stand the man, and therefore I would never put his name on my car. I don't care how good the product is or how much he has been involved with hotrods...you have to draw the line somewhere on some things.
And another thing...Foose used to work for Boyd, and a lot of those award-winning cars were Foose vehicles with the Coddington stamp of approval. From what I have seen in the show, Boyd pretty much does nothing on the cars except complain about this little thing or that little thing. It's the guys who work for him that create the art, not him.
Foose all the way. There's no one even close.
