Don't forget to do the rear spoiler delete. If racing you might as well take off any caps or spinners.
Does this car have that new electirc power steering I keep hearing about on other cars? That should save some hp & weight, right?

Hi Again, I was thinking this morning that someone might want his GT to be the same as a Shelby, Ratio wise. With what others said let say you stripped it down to 300lb off the car. You would have to pump your motor up to 410hp to equal the Weight to Power ratio of the Shelby. And to answer your other question every 100lb of weight added to the GT you would have to add 8hp to maintain the same Weight to Power ratio.

I thought I'd add that unless your racing all the time and you need that extra car length to win in a class. (most racing these days are a dial-in basis) But let say you thought by stripping out the rear seat etc. (hacking up your car to loose !00lb) That would only gain you a tenth to atenth and a halfof a second in the quarter. Not that much and your interior looks like crap. But if it's only a drag car then you would strip the crap out of it.
