Fog light bulb replacement, installation question!
Hey, guys. I just purchased some headlight and fog light bulbs off ebay, and I had no trouble installing the headlights, but I just cant seem to access the fog lights. I checked all over the forums and there must be something I am missing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE: Fog light bulb replacement, installation question!
I replaced my fog lights a few weeks ago with 5000K lights off EBay. I removed the black plastic radiator shroud/cover and removed 2 fastners holding down the front fascia. Once that was done it was relatively easy to gain access to the fogs, and replace bulbs. Be careful with the insert in the light assy, I have seen posts where the insert fell inside the fog light assy. As a note, I think the new fog light bulbs are hotter than stock and have started to melt the plastic insert (many posts about this) I am planning on reinstalling the factory fogs.

If you install hotter bulbs in the fog light assem. be prepared to buy new housings. I went through it about 2 months ago. Hotter bulbs melt the housing and the black insert will fall into the housing. Ford will not cover it cause you altered the temp. American muscle has a nice set of lenses for about 120.00 that will support the hotter bulb.

Thanks for the info guys. Yea, I purchased some Blue xenon lights off ebay and they were working great, until I noticed that black cover fell off the fog light bulb and now is in the housing. Its no biggie, but it really bothers me. I have been checking around and apparently thats pretty dam common.
