maybe! I think it looks like a charger for a phone or ipod... but i dont see any where for the other item to grab onto so it will hold itself up while it charges... there isnt any sort of snap or release button... But then again the light tells me aftermarket alarm... perhaps there used to be a thingy on the key that had to be placed there for the car to start?!?

I also believe it is related to the flux capacitor somehow.

It's probably one of those breathilizer things. The person that had the car before you probably got a DUI or something and that is what they had to install. They removed the rest of the box and that's what's left. Just a guess...

My Mother has a Hyundai, it has an anti theft system with a sensor on the key ring that has to be held up to something that looks just like that before the car will start. I say its to an after market alarm the old owner removed.

all guesses are as good as mine... Its an 05 gt with a stick 13000 miles on the odometer... my 06 had 11000... Body is flawless, runs great... very clean... and i found 4 three inch long grey hairs in the headliner while washing it... so i think an old person owned it... Or someone that test drove it f'in shed like crazy! With that said... it could be anything!!

It's an alarm system for the flux capacitor installed by aliens for the gray-haired owner!
