Default any clue what this is?

any clue what this is? It is on my dash above the dash light dimmer. doesn't light up, or shock me... No wires through the firewall to the battery or fuse box... stumps me...

it is drilled through... which sorta urks me, cause i have a hole in my dash, but I can always put something there later... aftermarket alarm or something... I dont even see it when i am driving, hides behind the steering wheel... I just want to know what it is... start button for the flux capacitor?
