From what I have read - they are the SLP Loudmouths

Anything loud but not SO loud?

I am really considering the SLPs but don't know if they are too loud (i.e., get police attention)

I have heard clips of different axlebacks from sites but of course it can't reproduce real life.

Any "real life" comparisons?

People here exaggerate way to much..

The SLP loudmouths aren't THAT loud. I highly doubt you will get police attention for them...

but they do sound gooooooood

 

I just installed Pypes Violators. They sound good also, but not as loud as Loudmouths.

 

FRPP/Borla Stingers are plenty loud if you want to draw attention to yourself, but not so loud as to have gotten me the attention of the PoPo. Of course I still have cats and I have never knowingly passed PoPo at wide-open throttle either....

 

I second the Violators and Brenspeed has them on sale right now!

 

If you put an O/R H pipe on with those Stingers, you will definitely draw attention, but the wrong kind. They sound like absolute crap with an H Pipe installed. Almost like a cross between a riding lawnmower, a Harley, and one of them there hillbilly diesel truck exhausts.

 

I've read/heard that the SLPs can set off car alarms in a parking garage. I would live this but for my age and everyday it would be too much (maybe)

Right now I am between the FRPP stingers or GTAs, the SLP loudmouths and the Flowmasters (forget the series...) These Violator Pypes sound interesting though... Any feedback, clips or better - real life experience with these and how they might compare with my other potential choices?

Arwing - that sounds GREAT! Are the axlebacks all you have (cats in, no aftermarket x-pipe, etc.?)

There is a video on this forum (believe the topic is "SLP") that sunds like this but supposedly has other mods. Yours sounds just like it. I really love and want that sound (saved it to My Favorites) but just wondering how it compares to my other choices. I probably want something a litttle less agressive. How do the others (Pypes, FRPP Stingers/GTAs and Flowmasters compare)

The Stock actually sounds pretty good! Ths SLPs comapared to them do not seem too loud. (cool how you can see you in the reflection of the bumper) They sound just right - especially noticed though when you are driving back and at idle.

Correct, just the axle backs. All I have is a CAI, Tune and the SLP LM's
