Oil Change/Service now?

Oil Change/Service now?
I have a 2006 gt with 1800 miles. I have owned it since September 1, 2006. Should I change the oil and perform the first service (based on limited miles I now drive) or wait until 3000 miles? Just ant to be safe so I guess service it would be the answer but I also do not want to waste time and money.
