Spinning the tires in a GT with manual tranny
ok dumb question I know but like some of you may have seen in my other posts, I just got my GT after driving around in a 97 altima for 4 years (had an 87 cougar prior to that). Both were autos
So is it just a matter of put it in first, bring it up to 5k rpm and take foot off clutch? edit: and if that's what it is -- isn't that stressful for the clutch / tranny?
I thought someone said something about a brake line that locks the front tires in place, and that it's standard on the GT's, specifically for spinning the tires to warm them up before a race, can anyone fill me in on that?
Thanks all

I'm actually having a problem with fuel injection I think. When ever I get on it I hit second and there is a hesitation before it takes off....I'm not really sure what it is but it stops short of a pop under the hood inside the engine. Almost like the start of a backfire but it hasn't. I'm about to get it looked at. It rips pretty good in first. I just don't think I get good burns with 18' tires....Could just be me....

These cars have a serious lag on acceleration when you first get it. After you get your tune you wont have to rev it up to 3,4,or 5 grand to smoke'm. Just come off the clutch and nail it.....no matter if the tcs is on or off. Enjoy!!
