Didn't they call them luxury sport sedans? No wait....that only applies to imports. I think they called it domestic sport sedans.

Too bad you couldn't hold out for the Challenger. They are going to beat the Camaro to the show room.

I needed something now and as much as I like the Challenger, I as of late need to carry 2-3 adult passengers for more than a few blocks, so I went with something with a bigger back seat. I may end with a Challenger as an additional vehicle several years down the line when there isn't any markups or there are some used ones lying around.

As much as I might like topoke funregardinga bloated 4 door automatic, those SRT 8's (in any flavor) are mighty quick and worthy of respect. My 6 speed CTSV is my 4-door go-fast....but the Charger SRT-8, by the numbers, is every bit as fast at least in a straight line.

I never had trouble getting fast-car test drives as an adult....maybe it was the missing teeth, the greasy hair, and the prison tattoos that gaveyour dealers pause?

Ya the first dealership that I went to, DID NOT want me to test drive one, haha it was hilarious, I was kinda laughin, they did a credit check and I was all good. So then, the guy comes up to me and says, lets talk some serious numbers here, are you gonna be able to afford this. I told him that he just lost a sale, and walked out. Went to another Ford dealership, and they let me take a manual with 5 miles on it to my house and back, with my friend, and i'm 20. We ended up making a deal haha

Dealers/salespeople can be very biased against young prospective buyers. They have probably spent many hours trying to sell $30,000 cars to people who they eventually discovered couldn't afford them. So when they see a young or young-looking person kicking the tires on a Mustang, they figure that the time they spend on them will just be wasted. Meanwhile, the "real" customers are being landed by other salespeople. It's really not hard to understand, but it costs sales. This same thing happened to me twice when I was young (many years ago). I had a very good job and income when I was twenty-one and I could have bought just about any car being sold back then. But the salespeople at most dealers would typically ignore me. One time at a Dodge dealership when I was looking at a Challenger, I was even asked to leave! I was very young looking andthey may have thought I was in high school or something. I probably would have bought a Challenger that day if a real salesman had gotten a hold of me. Instead they threw me out of the showroom! A few years later, Chrysler went bankrupt and had to be bailed out with government loans. Wonder why?

Not to pick nits but Chrysler got themselves in trouble in the late 70's because their management, theirproduct lines, and their marketing were complete crap. If they would have kept offering challenger-class vehiclesand had the swagger in their products that they had in the early 70's, they would have been in fine shape whether or not some of their dealers mistreated young customers....

Case in point.....toyota and honda salespersonnel are often complete clowns....yet the products sell themselves.

Sweet ride!

I considered the 300c SRT8 when I was looking. It has insane amounts of power and I love the interior but... It's a big luxury car and drives like one. I wanted a car that would do exactly what I wanted it to, when I wanted it too. Plus, I wanted a convertible. Sunroof is nice but not the same thing.

My son ended up with a Black SRT8 and I like driving in it but I'm happy I bought the Stang in the end.

My dad bought a Black SRT8 as his new daily driver. Heavy, big, and very comfortable. The thinghauls considering its 4200lb curb weight. Its dead quiet at idle, but opens up when its WOT. First mod he is going to do is electric dumps.
